Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel is looking for a new school.

The two-year starter for the Sooners has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. Gabriel was one of the most prolific QBs in college football in 2023 as he was 266-of-384 passing for 3,660 yards and 30 TDs with six interceptions.

Gabriel threw 10 TDs over the final three games of the season as the Oklahoma offense rebounded strongly from back-to-back losses to Kansas and Oklahoma State. OU scored 169 points over the final three games of the season in wins over West Virginia, BYU and TCU.

The Hawaii native came to Oklahoma from UCF ahead of the 2022 season after OU hired Brent Venables as its head coach. Gabriel has appeared in 50 games across five seasons at UCF and Oklahoma and thrown for 14,865 yards and 125 TDs to just 26 interceptions in his career.

Gabriel has one season of eligibility remaining. Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby is now the head coach at Mississippi State. Keep an eye on the Bulldogs as a possible landing spot for Gabriel.

No. 12 Oklahoma plays No. 14 Arizona in the Alamo Bowl. Former five-star recruit Jackson Arnold will likely start the bowl game for the Sooners.

Florida State edge rusher Patrick Payton tweeted Tuesday night that he planned to enter the transfer portal.

Payton was tied for the third on the team with six sacks and was part of an impressive pass-rushing rotation for the Seminoles. The redshirt sophomore had 42 total tackles and 13.5 tackles for loss. He also had 10 passes defensed and one forced fumble.
