JASON FITZ: The Super Bowl is in the rear-view mirror, and that means it’s time to take a look at one big thing facing the New York Football Giants. And yet again, it’s quarterback questions. I’m not sure what they’re going to do this offseason. I’m not sure what they should do this offseason. A year ago right now, we were all convinced that Daboll was going to be a savior of a coach and that they’d figured out a smart way to make sure they kept Saquon and Daniel Jones, and everybody could be happy. They could run it back.

But things fell apart this year. Saquon likely going to be somewhere else. Now there’s real questions about Daboll and whether or not he’s lost the locker room. All that has changed in one year. Now, you can change everything about the way you’re perceived if your quarterback comes out and shines. But that’s asking a lot for Daniel Jones, who, frankly, hasn’t done that. When he has done it, it’s been limited, and then, because of injury, wasn’t even able to try to accomplish that last season. Anytime Tommy Cutlets is playing meaningful snaps for you, you know your season’s not going the way it needs to go.

But let’s be honest here. If the Giants can’t get this thing turned around this season, if they don’t have the answer at quarterback this season, you have to wonder how hot that seat under Daboll is going to get. Even if he was as good as he was a year ago, what we just saw last season will not be forgotten.
