Four-star defensive lineman Mariyon Dye commits to Tennessee football

Mariyon Dye, the No. 14 edge rusher in the 2025 class, has committed to Tennessee football.

Dye announced his commitment on social media Friday and said, “I’m HOME, Go vols!!”

The four-star defensive lineman committed after his official visit last weekend, choosing the Vols over Ohio State and Purdue. Dye, who goes to Elkhart (Ind.) High School, also went on visits to Ohio State, Purdue and reigning national champion Michigan.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Dye is the fourth defensive lineman and 16th commitment in the 2025 class for Tennessee coach Josh Heupel. Dye’s commitment adds to a surge in Vols recruiting — he’s Heupel’s fifth commitment in that past nine days.

Dye is ranked No. 150 overall in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports Composite. He can sign Dec. 4, when the early signing period begins.

Dye joins a talented 2025 class for the Vols. Tennessee has already secured commitments from five-star quarterback George MacIntyre, four-star offensive lineman Douglas Utu, four-star defensive lineman Ethan Utley, four-star wide receiver Radarious Jackson, four-star tight end Jack Van Doreselaer, four-star offensive lineman Nic Moore, four-star edge rusher Jayden Loftin, three-star running back Justin Baker, three-star safety Sidney Walton, three-star offensive tackle Antoni Kade Ogumoro, three-star cornerback Dylan Lewis, three-star defensive lineman Charles House, three-star cornerback Tre Poteat, three-star Joakim Dodson and three-star cornerback Tyler Redmond.
