NORMAN — OU football landed its fourth commit in June on Friday.
Three-star offensive lineman Darius Afalava committed via Instagram Live to the Sooners over Michigan State, Utah and Washington. Afalava made an official visit to OU on June 7.
At 6-foot-5, 320 pounds, Afalava ranks as the No. 3 player in Utah and the No. 26 interior offensive lineman nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings. Afalava helped lead Skyridge High School to an appearance in the Utah 6A State Championship game last season.
Afalava joins four-star offensive tackle Ryan Fodje and three-star interior offensive lineman Owen Hollenbeck as commits to offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh in the 2025 class.
Afalava’s father Al starred at Oregon State and spent time in the NFL with three different teams.
Before Afalava’s commitment, the Sooners’ 2025 class ranked No. 5 nationally in 247Sports’ team rankings.
