Notre Dame football offers in-state safety who is a Vanderbilt baseball commit

Notre Dame football may have unearthed another gem in recruiting in its own backyard.

Fort Wayne safety Brandon Logan, who is committed to Vanderbilt baseball, was offered by the Irish on Friday evening. The 6-foot and 180-pound prospect isn’t ranked, but that has a lot to do with his decision to play another sport at the collegiate level.

Only two other schools have offered in football, Indiana and Iowa, again, a lower number because of his interest on a different sport. Logan could end up playing both in college, as many current and former Irish stars have, it would be a big win for both Notre Dame programs if that were to happen.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out, if Logan opts to stay with baseball or try his hand at football.
