In the fictional world of EA Sports’ new College Football 25 video game, Michigan’s defense makes a play in another national championship game.
Linebacker Ernest Hausmann was shown intercepting a pass by Georgia star quarterback Carson Beck in the end zone in a new trailer that released Tuesday, which featured ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit narrating EA Sports’ changes to its dynasty game mode.

Michigan, which hoists the College Football Playoff trophy once again in the fictional trailer, is one of many of the sport’s top players and teams that are featured in the game that’s set to release on July 19. The new trailer covered the details of the dynasty mode, which allows players to take control of a program, making recruiting and transfer portal decisions.
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards — two of the three cover athletes for the game — were shown making a pass and taking a handoff, respectively, in the early parts of the video. The video game also gave a sneak peek of new Big Ten foes USC and Penn State batting in a hostile environment at Happy Valley, which is just one of numerous new conference matchups nationally for the 2024 season.
With the game nearly set to be released, EA Sports has released the top-10 teams in terms of overall rating, with Georgia holding the No. 1 spot. While Michigan wasn’t listed inside the top 10, the Wolverines were ranked as the No. 6-ranked defense in the game at 90 overall.
