Wisconsin football currently sits at No. 21 in On3’s industry team recruiting rankings for the class of 2025. The program recently rose in the ranking after landing four-star lineman Hardy Watts earlier this week.
The Badgers notably sit ahead of the Washington Huskies, Kentucky Wildcats, South Carolina Gamecocks and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the nation’s top 25. Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan and Rutgers are the only Big Ten opponents ranked ahead of UW for their 2025 recruiting efforts thus far.
247Sports, another major recruiting outlet, ranks Wisconsin’s class of 2025 at No. 16 in the nation after the addition of Watts. The Badgers have secured 22 commitments through July 3, and will look to leapfrog other programs with other pledges later this summer.
Wisconsin’s class of 2025 rose to as high as No. 11 in the nation after a rush of commitments at the start of June. The group then slipped as other top programs added top recruits, and after four-star cornerback Rukeem Stroud flipped his commitment to UCF.
Still, UW’s 2025 recruiting cycle includes six blue-chip players and an average player rating of 88.29. The Badgers’ aggressiveness and efforts in states outside the Midwest points to an upswing in future player acquisition.
Wisconsin will direct its remaining class of 2025 recruiting focus to remaining top targets three-star wide receiver Muizz Tounkara, four-star defensive lineman Kade Pietrzak and four-star running back Byron Louis.
