OXFORD ― Make it four commitments from Florida high schools for Ole Miss football’s 2025 recruiting class.
Defensive back Major Preston, who plays his high school football at IMG Academy, announced his verbal pledge to the Rebels on Saturday night.
Preston is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite. He is considered the No. 623 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, the No. 56 corner and the No. 86 player in the state of Florida.
He chose the Rebels from a final group of four schools that also included Colorado, Florida and Virginia Tech. Preston also reported offers from Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M, among others.
Listed at 5-foot-11½, 187 pounds, Preston originally hails from Hopewell, Virginia. He becomes the third corner in a 12-player class for coach Lane Kiffin and Pete Golding, joining Cortez Thomas and Maison Dunn.
