It’s been a windfall for UCF on the recruiting trail as the Knights have secured their seventh commitment in the last five days after 3-star linebacker Cameron White committed on Sunday.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound White becomes the 18th commitment coach Gus Malzahn and his coaching staff have received for the 2025 recruiting cycle. The class is ranked 23rd in the country according to the latest 247Sports composite rankings.
White had 81 tackles with 13 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries last season for Sumner High School, helping lead the Stingrays to the regional finals of the 4M playoffs. In three varsity seasons with the school, he totaled 120 tackles with 23 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, 2 interceptions and 5 fumble recoveries. He recently transferred to Armwood High for his senior season.
He had offers from schools such as Louisville, N.C. State, Syracuse and Tennessee.
It’s been a busy holiday week for UCF, which secured commitments from receiver Waden Charles (Palm Beach Central), defensive linemen Christian Hudson (Mainland), Tylon Lee (Pace), Darryll and Mandrell Desir (Norland) and offensive lineman Andrew Stargel (Roswell).
All verbal commitments are non-binding but can become official during the early signing period in December.
