Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy opted to bring running back Ollie Gordon to Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday to hold him accountable for his recent DUI arrest.
While Gordon was faced with questions in Las Vegas regarding the arrest, Gundy said at media days that the Big 12’s reigning Offensive Player of the Year wouldn’t miss any game time, even after he was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on the morning of June 30.
When Gundy was later asked about his decision not to suspend his star running back, he commented on his reasoning not only to not suspend him, but also to bring him to Big 12 Media Days.

“Ollie made a decision that he wished he could have done better. But when I talked to Ollie, I told him, ‘You’re lucky you got out light.’ … Nobody got hurt. We see people doing this and losing their lives across the country, not just football players but everybody. So [he] got out lucky.”
