West Allegheny football standout Brock Cornell commits to Bucknell University

When it came to committing to a school at the next level, West Allegheny standout Brock Cornell made sure to check all the boxes when it came to valuing academics and athletics.

Those factors led the senior to commit to Bucknell University ahead of his senior season as he announced his commitment to the Bison program Saturday afternoon.

The recruitment process for Cornell was a roller coaster ride before deciding to commit to Bucknell. But for the senior, he learned a lot about the recruitment process and about himself over the past year.

“I had two offers right at the beginning of my recruitment process. After that, I was not worried about not being able to play at the next level because I knew that I could be able to play at both of those schools,” Cornell told the Beaver County Times. “When I went to visit some schools, I drew a liking to some of them and that is where I got my hopes up of wanting to play there and in the end, did not get offered to play there.

“That was okay because now I have a school in Bucknell and I am excited to play for that program.”
