Georgia football lands commitment from 4-star Florida safety

Georgia football landed its 20th commitment Sunday night for its 2025 recruiting class.

Four-star safety Rashad Johnson from South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Fla., revealed his decision on his Instagram account.

His other finalists were Louisville, Penn State and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Johnson is rated the nation’s No. 29 safety by the 247Sports Composite and the No. 323 overall prospect.

Johnson had 59 tackles including six for loss with an interception, forced fumble and sack for a team that went 11-2, according to Lake & Sumter Style Magazine.

Johnson is the second safety to commit to Georgia in the last week, joining Rockvale Tenn., four-star Jaylan Morgan.

Georgia’s class is currently ranked No. 3 nationally behind Ohio State and Alabama.
