Tennessee football gets four-star WR Travis Smith over Georgia, Alabama, Auburn

Tennessee football won the SEC recruiting battle for four-star wide receiver Travis Smith, who committed to the Vols on Saturday.

Georgia, Alabama and Auburn were the Vols’ primary competition. Smith took official visits to all three schools in the past two months to narrow his options.

But more than 30 schools took a run at Smith with scholarship offers, including 11 from the SEC.

Smith is a 6-foot-4, 199-pounder from Westlake High in Atlanta. He is ranked the No. 16 wide receiver and No. 113 player overall in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports Composite.
