Jeremiah Smith is going to be a beast on the gridiron. The young man has all the tools to become an elite receiver both in college and in the NFL. But as good as he is on the football field, it sounds like he’s an even better human being.
Smith hasn’t played a snap of college football as of yet, but he’s already giving back. Thanks to the newfound wealth players can earn off of name, image, and likeness, Smith is already showing his generosity towards those who helped him get to this point. Recently, the Ohio State receiver donated $5,000 to his alma mater Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory High School in Opa Locka, Florida.
Today, Jeremiah Smith & his Twenty9Eleven Foundation presented a $5,000 donation to Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory. Thank you, Jeremiah, for giving back to your #LionPride! Smith was not only the No. 1 player at his position but ranked as the No. 1 player in the entire 2024 recruiting class according to 247Sports. Many are expecting him to make an immediate impact on an already loaded and veteran roster.
While there is no telling how quickly Smith will adjust to the college game as a true freshman, it is always nice to see a young man remember his roots. Smith will be on the receiving end of many balls thrown his way in his college career, but in this case, the giving is more fulfilling than the receiving.
