The Ohio State 2024 football season is less than 50 days away. But many Buckeye fans are seeing if they can lead Caleb Downs, TreVeyon Henderson, Emeka Egbuka and the rest of the team to a national championship.
EA Sports College Football 25 was released Monday to patrons who had pre-ordered the game, with a wide release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X|S on Friday. It is the first college football-centered video game since 2013, and the first after name, image and likeness allowed current college football players to appear in the game and be compensated for it.
Ohio State is the No. 2-ranked team in EA Sports College Football 25 at 93 overall, and is one of eight teams with a 90 overall rating or higher along with Georgia (95), Oregon (93), Alabama (92), Texas (92), Clemson (90), Notre Dame (90) and LSU (90).

In EA Sports College Football 25 simulation of the 2024 season, the Buckeyes won each of their first 11 games, including a one-score road win against Oregon and a 26-point road win against Penn State.
But Ohio State lost its fourth straight regular-season matchup against Michigan before losing to the Wolverines again in the Big Ten Championship.
Ohio State enters the first 12-team College Football Playoff as a No. 6 seed and beats No. 11 Virginia Tech at home. The Buckeyes beat No. 3 Utah in the Fiesta Bowl and No. 2 Mississippi in the Cotton Bowl to set up a national championship match with No. 5 Notre Dame.
Despite two losses to Michigan, the Buckeyes secure their ninth national championship with a 38-24 win against the Fighting Irish.
In the simulation, defensive end Jack Sawyer and Downs finished as first-team All-Americans. Henderson, left guard Donovan Jackson and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams were second-team All-Americans.
