Colorado State is in the game.
College football made its glorious return to the video game world this week with the release of EA Sports College Football 25.
It’s the first college football video game since the 2014 edition. Current players are in this game, as those who signed up to participate are basically part of a mass NIL deal to be included.
The game was released early this week to those who paid for the deluxe edition and it’s available to everyone beginning Friday, July 19. Here’s what to know about CSU in the game, highlighted by player ratings.
Colorado State football EA Sports player ratings
EA Sports announced before the release of the game that CSU’s Tory Horton was part of the top 100 players, coming in at No. 45.
As a 91 overall rating, the receiver is CSU’s top-rated player.
Here are the top 10 for CSU:
Horton (91 overall)
Safety Jack Howell (86)
Center Jacob Gardner (85)
Offensive lineman Drew Moss (85)
Safety Henry Blackburn (82)
Quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi (81)
Nickel Ayden Hector (80)
Defensive end Nuer Gatkuoth (78)
Cornerback Dom Jones (77)
Linebacker Chase Wilson (77)
Players had to sign up to be in the game and not everyone is in. The most notable absences from the roster at release appear to be running back Justin Marshall, receiver Armani Winfield, tight end Jaxxon Warren and incoming freshman receiver Jordan Ross.
The game can (and will) update during the season, so ratings will fluctuate.
What ratings stood out?
Horton’s overall and skillset (91 speed and 93 acceleration) are very notable and will make him an elite player to use. Some speed demons: RB Kobe Johnson (91 speed), RB Damian Henderson (91) and WR Dawson Menegatti (90).
Want strength? Moss is an 89 strength, defensive lineman Cam Bariteau is a 91, defensive tackle Tyler Quinn is 93 and offensive lineman Aitor Urionabarrenechea is a 92 in…
