While avid fans of Tennessee football and video games have been consumed by EA Sports College Football 25 since its early release, the cover image features the wrong UT − at least, that’s what Vols would say.
Tennessee football has a fix.
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards and Colorado cornerback and receiver Travis Hunter grace the cover of the new video game, the first of its kind since 2013. The reboot was made possible, in part, by NCAA rules allowing players to make money off their name, image and likeness.
Now, the Tennessee football program is sharing a Vols version of the cover that fans can download for free. All you have to do is print out the image and slide it inside the cover pouch.
The image features a Tennessee player in an orange jersey flexing his bicep inside Neyland Stadium. He is wearing No. 25 to match the game title. The 2024 Tennessee football roster lists freshman defensive back Kaleb Beasley and redshirt freshman running back DeSean Bishop as co-owners of the jersey number.
Both PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the cover are available to download at 1tn.co/CFB25-Covers. The link brings you to a Google Drive folder where the two images are hosted.
Knox News got its hands on the game one day before its official release on July 19 and played throughout the day as Tennessee to see how game developers portrayed Neyland Stadium, which players had the highest ratings, which teams were identified as Tennessee rivals and which Tennessee uniforms players can choose from.
The game is now available in stores and online for $69.99.
The USA TODAY Sports team says the “presentation of the game will blow every gamer away.”
