The Owls’ head football coach is Tom Herman, who coached Miller at Ohio State from 2012-14. Herman was Ohio State coach Urban Meyer’s offensive coordinator before he went on to be the head coach at Houston and Texas.

Herman led Florida Atlantic to a 4-8 record in 2023.

With Herman, Braxton Miller was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in both 2012 and 2013. He scored 64 touchdowns as Ohio State’s quarterback with 2,339 rushing yards and 4,133 passing yards.

Braxton Miller will be inducted into the Ohio State athletics Hall of Fame this fall.
