The upcoming Alabama Crimson Tide football season will be interesting. Not only does the team have a new coach at the helm, but there have been significant changes to the roster and the landscape of college football has evolved substantially.
Soon coming are various preseason rankings, which will allow fans to gauge exactly where their favorite team stands in comparison to others as the 2024 season rapidly approaches. One poll that will soon be revealed is the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Patrick Conn of College Sports Wire recently put together a projected ranking for the Coaches Poll. The Crimson Tide ranks sixth, according to Conn.
“The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off another appearance in the CFP but ultimately the Wolverines were too much for them in the Rose Bowl. With Nick Saban retiring in the offseason, the team will have a different feel under Kalen DeBoer. Jalen Milroe returns to run the offense and finish what he started following the benching against South Florida.”
Teams ahead of Alabama include the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes, the No. 3 Texas Longhorns, No. 4 Oregon Ducks and the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels.

Though fans aren’t too sure what to expect out of first-year head coach kalen DeBoer and this new-look roster, DeBoer and a trio of players said all the right things at 2024 SEC media days. The goal of the team is still to compete at the highest level and contend for a national championship.
