ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit thinks 2024 might be Oregon Ducks’ championship year

Most people in the know and average fans out there just assume the Oregon Ducks will be pretty good in 2024 as they enter their first season as a member of the Big Ten Conference. They also just assume that with the expanded playoff format of 12 teams, odds are the Ducks will be one of those dozen teams in the postseason.

But leave it to ESPN lead college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit to drop a bomb on the Pat McAfee Show. In that interview, Herbstreit let it slip that not only will Oregon make the playoffs, but come out as the team holding the big trophy at the end.

“It’s like the season didn’t happen. No one is talking about Sherrone Moore and Michigan other than their own fans,” he said. “Look out for ol’ Oregon. Look out for the ol’ Oregon Ducks. I may have Oregon winning it all. If you quote me, I said, ‘I MAY have Oregon winning it all.’”

McAfee mentioned that Ducks head coach Dan Lanning will be in studio to talk to the show and he’ll definitely respond to Herbstreit’s prediction on Thursday.
