ESPN’s Pat McAfee returning to ‘College GameDay’

ESPN analyst Pat McAfee is returning to “College GameDay” for the 2024 college football season.

Georgia Bulldogs fans are mixed on if they like McAfee. McAfee replaced former Georgia legend David Pollack on the GameDay set. McAfee did not do himself any favors when he called the Dawgs and then picked Alabama to win the 2023 SEC championship game.

“I’m back,” said McAfee in a post on social media. “I can’t wait for Dublin on August 24th. Let’s have the greatest year of college football in the history of college football.”

McAfee is referring to GameDay’s Week 0 show, which will be in Dublin, Ireland, for the Georgia Tech-Florida State game on Aug. 24. The college football season is just a month away.

GameDay also announced that it will not be in Atlanta for the Georgia-Clemson game in Week 1. ESPN’s premier Saturday morning college football show will likely attend at least one or two Georgia games this fall, but they will probably be road games for the Bulldogs.
