Vote for top Mississippi running back entering 2024 MHSAA, MAIS football season

With the 2024 football season weeks away, MSSAA and MAIS football fans can decide which high school running back is the best in Mississippi.

Vote for your choice of Mississippi’s top running back entering the season. Fans can vote once per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Sunday.

Jacquez Alexander-Dedeaux, Pass Christian: Alexander-Dedeaux had 208 carries for 1,472 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns last season.

Kylin Champagne, Oak Grove: The three-star recruit, according to 247Sports Composite, had 651 rushing yards with 120 carries and 10 touchdowns last season to an MHSAA Class 7A title. He has offers from Mississippi Valley State, East Mississippi College and Pearl River College.

Moses Cummings, Purvis: Cummings had 1,755 rushing yards with 20 touchdowns on 244 carries last season. He produced 100 yards or more rushing yards in none out 10 games played.

Akylin Dear, Quitman: Dear, a four-star recruit, is the No. 3 prospect in the state and the No. 1 running back in the country. Dear recently decommitted from Ole Miss and holds other offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan and Ohio State.

Omarean Ellis, Jackson Academy: Last season Ellis recorded 1,070 rushing yards with 136 carries and 13 touchdowns.

Marcus Flowers Jr., Charleston: Flowers produced 1,901 rushing yards on 266 carries with 26 touchdowns, helping Charleston to the MHSAA Class 2A state title last season.

Jaeden Hill, Tupelo: Hill, a Mississippi State commit, rushed for 891 yards with 18 touchdowns on 128 carries last season. He also had nine receptions for 116 yards.

Elijah Jones-Crosby, West Jones: Jones-Crosby, a three-star recruit had 1,425 rushing yards with 17 touchdowns on 170 carries last season to a MHSAA Class 6A title. He has offers…
