Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian and wife Loreal jointly file for divorce

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian announced on Friday that he and his wife Loreal have filed for divorce.

The two posted similar but separate posts on their Instagram stories, stating that their professional careers “made it difficult to prioritize time for each other.” Despite the decision, they say that they “aim to remain the best of friends.”

“While we appreciate all the love and encouragement we have received, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this transition as we embark on this new chapter in our lives,” the post finished.

This is the second divorce that Sarkisian has gone through, as he separated from his first wife Stephanie in 2015. He married Loreal in 2020 while he was still on staff at Alabama with Nick Saban.

Loreal is a former track star that has made waves in the fashion industry as an impressive stylist. She also ran hurdles at North Carolina A&T State University and is involved in charity work.
