The 2024 high school football season is quickly approaching, and The Oklahoman has unveiled its Super 30 series.
The Super 30 list features the top senior recruits in Oklahoma. But the state is also full of under-the-radar prospects who could make some serious noise this season.
Meet Oklahoma’s rising star seniors just outside the Super 30.
Jax Bernard, QB, Fairview
Bernard has led Class A Fairview to two consecutive undefeated seasons. This past season, he completed 67% of his passes for 3,385 yards and 47 touchdowns and ran for 866 yards and 17 scores on 98 carries.
Behr Boyd, LB, Norman
A linebacker with great speed, Boyd was all over the field for the Tigers last year. He finished with 118 total tackles, including 12 for loss.
Cameron Carter, LB/RB, Millwood
Carter spearheaded the Falcons efforts on defense to help guide Millwood back to the Class 2A state finals for the second consecutive season. He led the team with 55 tackles in addition to three forced fumbles, three interceptions and two touchdowns while being named to The Oklahoman’s Little All-City first team.
Kale Charboneau, QB/LB, Wagoner
A standout on both sides of the football, he helped Wagoner win the Class 4A state title as a sophomore and finish as the runner-up last year. Charboneau’s junior season included a 65.7% completion percentage with 2,834 yards and 22 touchdowns, 976 rushing yards and 16 scores, 114 tackles (39 for loss) and four interceptions.
Miguel Chavez, OL, Muskogee
Chavez recently announced his commitment to UNLV. He helped Muskogee win the Class 6A-II state title last season.
Ashton Cunningham, DB, Tulsa Union
