South Dakota State linebacker Adam Bock was named to the 2024 Buck Buchanan Award Preseason Watch List Wednesday morning.
Bock was a finalist for the Buchanan Award in 2021 and has been included on the preseason watch list in each of the past two seasons. He enters his senior season with a total of 344 career tackles. He missed time due to injury last season but returned to finish third on the team in tackles with 65 tackles in only 10 games played last season. Bock posted a game-high 11 tackles in the 2023 national championship game.
The 2024 season marks the 30th anniversary of the Buck Buchanan Award, which will be presented on Jan. 5 in Frisco, Texas. The watch list will be updated throughout the season, with voting conducted by a national media panel at the conclusion of the regular season.
All 13 FCS conferences are represented on the watch list, which includes 10 past finalists.
