Aug. 1—In Oklahoma, football and pigging out on barbecue go hand-in-hand — especially in Claremore.
As the anticipation for the high school football season builds, the annual Zebra Quarterback Club Pigskin Pig-Out & Silent Auction is just over a week away.
Set for Saturday, Aug. 10, from 5-7 p.m. at the Claremore High School cafeteria, this beloved event brings the community together to support local football players. Tickets are priced at $12, with all proceeds benefiting Claremore football players in grades seven through 12.
Attendees will enjoy a delicious meal provided by S/Y Beef Market, featuring pork, bread, beans, potatoes and dessert. In addition to the food, the event will also include a silent auction, offering a chance to bid on various items and further support the football program.
For more information, Claremore football coach Jarrett Hurt can be reached at 918-688-1851.
