It’s a new month of Florida State football as the countdown to Week 0 against Georgia Tech is underway.
The season opener may be around the corner, but the Seminoles are still trying to find their offensive rhythm. Defense, on the other hand, continues to be the driving force on all cylinders.
FSU will run its first scrimmage on Saturday in about 48 hours and is plugging plays to prepare for that weekend.

Mike Norvell wants offense to take advantage of opportunities

FSU’s defense got the best of the offense on FSU’s seventh practice. Norvell believed he saw that both sides had their moments during camp. However, Norvell wants his offense to take it up a notch.
“Obviously, the defense did a lot of good things today, but we’ve seen a good balance throughout fall camp,” Norvell said. “I thought the offense, we just got to need to be better and get opportunities. That’s something you we going to take advantage.”
The Seminoles continue to struggle with consistency on the pass offense. The receivers struggled to make catches and struggled to execute plays against the defense.

The positive not on offense was the offensive line. As the competition battle for the guard spot is up in the air, Norvell was asked about offensive guard Keiondre Jones. Entering his second year with the Seminoles after transferring from Auburn, Norvell expects the redshirt senior to take another leap at guard.
