Fall camp is in full swing for Ohio State football.
After taking the practice field for the first time ahead of the 2024 campaign Thursday, the Buckeyes were back in action Friday, 29 days before their Aug. 31 season opener against Akron.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day addressed the media Thursday to give people a preview of what the Buckeyes would look like as a whole. After Ohio State’s second fall practice, it’s defensive coordinator Jim Knowles’ turn.

In 2023, Ohio State had the No. 3 total defense in the country with opposing offenses averaging 265.4 yards per game and 4.17 yards per play. The Buckeyes allowed 11.23 points per game, second-best in college football behind Michigan (10.4).
Ahead of the 2024 season, Ohio State added five-star defensive end Eddrick Houston and five-star cornerback Aaron Scott, along with former Alabama All-American safety Caleb Downs through the transfer portal.
Ohio State will open the 2024 season at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 31 against Akron on CBS.
