OXFORD — On June 24, Ole Miss football suffered three decommitments from its 2025 recruiting class in the span of roughly three hours.
After wideout Dillon Alfred announced via Instagram that he’s rejoining the fold on Friday, two of those three are now committed to the Rebels again.
Alfred is considered a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite. Listed at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 363 overall prospect nationally and the No. 57 wide receiver.
He plays his high school football for Saraland in Alabama and is the 17th-ranked player in the state for the 2025 cycle. Previously, he had attended high school in Mississippi. He played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Gautier.
Alfred’s decision came down to Ole Miss and Clemson, with Lane Kiffin’s Rebels ultimately beating out Dabo Swinney’s Tigers. He also received offers from Penn State, Auburn, Miami, Tennessee, Mississippi State and several others.
Alfred becomes the 14th member of Ole Miss’ 2025 recruiting class, which ranked 47th nationally before his pledge.
