Shavar Young, a Knoxville Webb 2026 4-star CB, commits to Clemson

Knoxville Webb four-star athlete Shavar Young Jr. has committed to Clemson, he told Knox News.

The junior defensive back chose Clemson after receiving offers from Tennessee, Penn State, Georgia and Michigan.

Young, a 6-foot, 180-pound athlete, is the No. 6 player in Tennessee and the No. 184 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Young is back in Knoxville after transferring from Brentwood Academy as a sophomore last season. Prior, he played at Knoxville Webb his eighth grade and freshmen seasons. In Nashville, Young finished with 17 tackles, 11 pass breakups and one interception on defense. He had 84 receptions for 1,130 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on offense.

The junior previously told Knox News that his college decision will be based on the culture, how soon he’ll see playing time and who can do the best job developing him as a player and person.
