Utah State transfer Micah Davis commits to Ole Miss football, Lane Kiffin | Reports

OXFORD ― Showcasing a willingness to add to his roster late just as he did last year, Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin landed Utah State transfer Micah Davis from the transfer portal on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

Davis, who received a 30-day window to transfer following the departure of Utah State coach Blake Anderson this summer, caught 36 passes for 628 yards and six touchdowns last season.

He also returned punts and kicks for the Aggies, receiving honorable mention All-Mountain West honors for his efforts as a receiver and punt returner in 2023.

Listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Davis is a native of Atlanta. He also played for Air Force before enrolling at Iowa Western Community College for a season.

He bolsters an already stacked group of Rebel wideouts. It will be interesting to see if he competes for the punt-returning responsibilities. Jordan Watkins did well in that role last season for Ole Miss.

Both of Kiffin’s summer transfer portal additions last year turned out to be strong ones. Miami cornerback Chris Graves Jr. competed for playing time as a freshman, and Clemson linebacker TJ Dottery looks like he’ll play an important role for the Rebels this season.
