LSU makes top 5 for No. 1 2026 safety Blaine Bradford

.

One of the top players in the 2026 recruiting class has narrowed his list of finalists down to five. LSU has made the list along with four other strong schools.

LSU joins Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon and Notre Dame in the final five. [autotag]Blaine Bradford[/autotag] is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound, four-star safety from Baton Rouge where he plays for Catholic High School. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] has made one of his top objectives to keep the best players from the boot at home.

Bradford is the No. 1 safety in the class and would be a huge pickup for the Tigers if they could land him. There are currently no crystal ball projections for him but LSU is an 89% favorite to land him per On3. LSU currently has four commits for the 2026 class and the class is ranked as the No. 5 overall class by 247Sports. The class has one cornerback commit and one safety commit.
