Fans of Iowa’s four major college football teams will now have an opportunity to get behind-the-scenes information on their favorite players on game day.
KCCI will add a half-hour local pregame show every Saturday morning. “Big College Kickoff” will start at 10:30 a.m. followed by CBS Sports’ coverage of Big Ten football.
“Our team is excited to leverage our award-winning reporting to accompany CBS Sports’ Big Ten broadcasts,” said KCCI President and General Manager Brian Sather. “This new local pregame show will also allow us to increase our coverage of the Big 12 Conference in a big way.”
Who will host ‘Big College Kickoff’?
Local reporters will provide all the intel on Iowa’s NCAA Division 1 teams University of Iowa, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa and Drake University. Familiar faces like sports anchor Jeff Dubrof and sports director Scott Reister as well as sports reporter Shannon Ehrhardt will dish everything you need to know about Iowa and Iowa State University football teams.

The first show of “Big College Kickoff: will air at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 13.
Where can I watch the CyHawk game?
KCCI will air the biggest college football game in the state again this year. Iowa State and Iowa will go head-to-head at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 7. KCCI will be at Kinnick Stadium to give viewers special pregame coverage at 1:30 p.m.
