11 for 11: Juniors to watch for in Escambia, Santa Rosa counties entering 2024 football season

The class of 2026 has some bright spots as far as football players in the Pensacola area.

A handful of them have already caught the eyes of college scouts, and have a considerable amount of Division I offers.

Some of those players have also found themselves among the best juniors in the nation, with a few on the Top 300 list from ESPN and other major recruiting databases.

Here’s a list of area juniors to watch for entering the 2024 football season.

Grant Wise, Pace

Grant Wise was the heir-apparent to Jonathan Daniels as the area’s top offensive lineman. Now that Daniels has graduated and is in his freshman season at Florida State, Wise emerges as one to watch – and he still has plenty of time to show off his skills as a junior.

Wise, part of a prolific run-heavy team that relies on its offensive line to create holes, aided the Patriots to 2,407 yards rushing – averaging 6.6 yards a carry and 240.7 yards per game – with 34 rushing touchdowns. Former quarterback Nick Simmons also had plenty of time, throwing for 737 yards and 10 touchdowns during the season.

Wise holds numerous Division I offers, including Alabama, Kansas, Miami, Florida and Florida State.

Kaiden Hall, Milton

One of the area’s best ATHs, Kaiden Hall has proven to be dangerous on both sides of the football. Though he’s primarily being recruited as a safety with offers from the likes of Florida, Memphis, Georgia Tech and Tennessee.
