LSU’s head coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is going to get to share one last football season with his son as a player. His youngest son, [autotag]Kenzel Kelly[/autotag], has announced that he is transferring to LSU after spending four seasons at Grand Valley State.
Kenzel was redshirted in 2020 and did not play until 2022 for the Lakers. Last season he played in five games and made five tackles with one being a tackle for loss. He transfers to LSU with one year of eligibility remaining.
He will be a linebacker for the Tigers and he is listed as No. 50 on the roster. The Tigers are preparing to win their first season opener since the Tigers opened the season with a win in 2019. LSU will be taking on another ranked opponent the USC Trojans.
Since coming to LSU from Notre Dame, Kelly has led the Tigers to back-to-back 10-win seasons. Now, the SEC has gotten even tougher with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma.
