ESPN released its rankings of the top 100 players for the 2024 college football season on Thursday.
The list, which saw Tennessee defensive end James Pearce Jr. claim the No. 1 spot, included five local athletes. Four Oklahoma players made the cut, while one Oklahoma State player did.

Oklahoma
Linebacker Danny Stutsman (No. 32): Stutsman recorded career highs of 104 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and three sacks as a junior last season, which earned him an All-Big 12 first team selection and a spot on the Walter Camp All-American second team. The 6-4 linebacker then opted to return for his senior season rather than declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. Stutsman is the anchor for OU’s defense, and he was named to the preseason All-SEC first team.
Safety Billy Bowman (No. 73): Bowman recorded career highs of 63 tackles, three tackles for loss and six interceptions as a junior last season, which earned him a spot on the All-Big 12 first team. The 5-10 safety tied for third in the nation in interceptions. Bowman also opted to return for his senior season with the Sooners, and he was named to the preseason All-SEC first team.
Wide receiver Deion Burks (No. 74): Burks is a newcomer who led Purdue in receptions (47), receiving yards (629) and receiving touchdowns (seven) as a redshirt sophomore last season. The 5-9 wide receiver earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention, and he’s expected to have an immediate impact at OU. Burks was named to the preseason All-SEC third team.
