Four-star offensive lineman Nick Brooks commits to Texas

.

On Friday night, the Texas Longhorns got a big win on the recruiting trail. Four-star offensive lineman Nick Brooks committed to Texas over Georgia and USC. He was ranked as the No. 208 player in the nation, the No. 17 offensive tackle, and the No. 30 player in Georgia, according to On3.

With Brooks’s commitment, the Longhorns have five offensive linemen in their 2025 class. The Texas native is the highest rated and has the highest ceiling. While Georgia was seen as the favorite a few weeks ago, Texas has been hard at recruiting Brooks, which has paid off.

One of the main reasons Brooks chose the Longhorns is the opportunity to contribute to immediately.

“The No. 1 thing for me is the chance to play and compete for early playing time,” Brooks told On3. “NIL is important too, and that would be No. 2 on my list. Then, it comes down to relationships, family, and how I feel about the school. Family is very important to me, so that family feeling and what school makes me and my family feel best will be a factor.”

While his college debut is over a year away, excitement is building over what Brooks will accomplish once he sets foot on campus. He has the talent to be an elite player and should be a mainstay on the offensive line.

Over the next few weeks, the Longhorns will be busy as they look to add to their 2025 class. However the addition of Brooks is a major win for the program.
