Joe Tessitore absolutely nailed his broadcast call for Georgia Tech’s game-winning field goal over Florida State

.

ESPN broadcaster Joe Tessitore knew exactly what to say as Georgia Tech stunned No. 10 Florida State in Dublin on Saturday to kick off the 2024 college football season.

As Yellowjackets kicker Aidan Birr knocked down the 44-yard field goal to lift his team above Florida State, Tessitore nailed the call as he said that Georgia State found a pot of gold at the end of the Irish rainbow.

“Welcome back to college football!” Tessitore exclaimed on the broadcast.

“Reserve your Saturdays from here on out!”

We don’t usually get football games in Ireland, and getting a finish like this on top of the awesome location required a pro’s pro to make sure they had the right broadcast call to match it.

Tessitore stepped up to the plate and hit a grand slam.

“THEY FOUND THEMSELVES A POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THEIR IRISH RAINBOW! NO. 10 FLORIDA STATE GOES DOWN IN DUBLIN! WELCOME BACK TO COLLEGE FOOTBALL! RESERVE YOUR SATURDAYS FROM HERE ON OUT!” – Joe Tessitore on Georgia Tech’s walk-off, upset win 🏈🎙️🇮🇪 pic.twitter.com/uwCZyNEiXY
