Nick Saban thinks big things are in store for Notre Dame football in 2024

Nick Saban makes his remarks to the assembled crowd of friends, supporters and agencies Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at Bryant-Denny Stadium during the annual Nick’s Kids Foundation Luncheon.

Although [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] is no longer roaming the sidelines for Alabama, he still knows what a good football team looks like.

The Hall of Fame coach hasn’t left the game completely, he’s the new analyst for ESPN’s College GameDay. When Saban was asked his views on Notre Dame this fall, he really liked its chances to make the [autotag]College Football Playoff[/autotag] this fall.

There was one big reason why he thinks that will be the case this fall, the Irish’s independence. Saban explained that by not having to play in a conference title game, Notre Dame essentially gets a bye week heading into the CFP.

While he is a bit concerned with the Irish’s situation at left tackle, he said it was “interesting.” That doesn’t put much confidence into the situation, but the Irish have good options at the position.

Saban could very well be correct about Notre Dame’s fate this fall, as many of us hope that is the case.
