MARION — Pleasant showed it will be a team to reckon with in 2024 after opening the season at North Union and winning 44-0 Friday night.
As the scoreboard demonstrated, the Spartans dominated in all phases. Pleasant’s offense rolled up 402 total yards, while its defense held the Wildcats to just four yards rushing and 25 yards of offense all night. On special teams, Chase Van Oosten kicked a 30-yard field goal, too.
Pleasant’s Owen Lowry lit it up with a 14-for-22 passing effort, throwing for 187 yards and four touchdowns, two to Drew Niederhouser. Keagan Fogle and Ryan Conway combined for 11 carries, 85 yards and two more scores. Alex Columber and Jace Tractenberg each picked off a pass

Northmor 48, Upper Sandusky 14
The Golden Knights had little trouble at home against Upper Sandusky as A.J. Bower paced them with 322 passing yards on 10 of 13 completions and three touchdowns to Jax Wenger, Cameron Goldbach and Cowin Becker.
Bo Landin led all the receivers with four catches for 160 yards, while Carson Campbell and Becker shared 13 carries for 109 yards and three TDs. Northmor finished with 421 yards and held Upper to 303
Cardington 26, Elgin 22
Cardington got 104 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries from Wyatt Denney, while Journey Williamson was 5 of 8 passing for 123 yards and a touchdown, and Denton Garrison had three catches for 66 yards and that TD reception. Denney added 10 tackles on defense.
For Elgin, Quinten Harrison ran it 35 times for 166 yards and three touchdowns, and Gavin Rhodes backed him with 55 yards on 11 carries. Harrison…
