ESPN’s College GameDay will be on hand for Notre Dame at Texas A&M

Crews set up stages, screens and scaffolding for ESPN’s “College GameDay” weekly football show, on Thursday, Sep. 9, 2021, outside of Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. The show will air live on Saturday morning. 0909 Gameday 002 Jpg

ESPN’s College GameDay travels to see the best game every week during the college football season and for the first time in 2024, will be live for a Notre Dame contest.

As the Irish travel to College Station to take on Texas A&M, the top college football pregame show will be attending as well. While there were other games with two ranked opponents, Clemson at Georgia and USC at LSU, both are at neutral sites.

It made the most sense to head to a campus during the first full weekend of football. The environment will be raucous, as primetime matchups often are.

Almost every year, Notre Dame has at least a few games where ESPN’s pregame show is present. After Florida State lost to Georgia Tech, there may not be another opportunity for the Irish to have them in South Bend this fall.

The other game that could see Notre Dame with GameDay would be the game at USC, but since it’s the season finale, it’s hard to predict which matchup they’ll want to see.
