It’s finally game week for Memphis football.
The Tigers are about to embark on their most anticipated season ever, with the College Football Playoff a realistic goal for the first time. The journey begins Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN+) against North Alabama at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
Memphis’ stadium will be a storyline throughout the season because it’s currently in the midst of a $220 million renovation that will leave it at roughly half capacity for the 2024 season. Saturday’s game will be the first time fans can see the progress made with demolition over the summer.
