CeeDee Lamb isn’t going anywhere.

The star wide receiver agreed to a four-year, $136 million contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday, citing sources. The deal, which reportedly includes $100 million guaranteed and a $38 million signing bonus, makes him the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

Lamb, 25, has been away from the Cowboys since OTAs. Jerry Jones had insisted earlier this month that he didn’t “have any urgency” to get an extension done, while Lamb showed his displeasure on social media.

Now, Lamb is the second-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, trailing only Vikings star Justin Jefferson, who cashed in with a four-year, $140 million extension earlier this offseason.

The deal comes as the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk remain at an impasse in contract negotiations, with the star wideout seeking an extension that’s more in line with market value and participating in a “hold-in” of his own. Aiyuk traveled with the team to its 2024 NFL preseason finale against the Raiders in Las Vegas this past Friday after reportedly meeting with San Francisco again last Monday to iron out a long-term deal, and he remains under contract for $14.124 million with the 49ers this season.

As San Francisco and Aiyuk negotiate on a new contract, the 49ers also have explored trades with other NFL teams for their 2020 first-round draft pick. While the New England Patriots reportedly planned to offer Aiyuk an upwards of $30 million per year if they acquired him in a trade, the…
