FSU football urging improvement ahead of Boston College | 4 things to know from practice

The disappointment from Florida State football’s week zero loss to Georgia Tech is no longer the focus for the Seminoles as the team continued preparation for Boston College during Thursday’s practice.

The Seminoles host the Eagles on Monday, Sep. 2 at 7:30 p.m. for the first home game of the season at Doak Campbell Stadium.

During FSU’s second practice since returning from Ireland, there was a focus on fixing the errors made in the loss to the Yellow Jackets.

“There is definitely a sense of urgency for improvement,” Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell said. “We need that urgency every single day, whether its after a loss or after a win, that is the objective, to go get better.”

Here are four things to know from the Seminoles’ practice.

DJ Uiagalelei has a steady day

It was a steady morning of work for DJ Uiagalelei coming off his 19-for-27 193 passing-yard debut for the Seminoles on Saturday.

He flashed some very strong ball placement in both drills and team activities, fitting a couple of passes into tight windows.

There were a couple of strong throws to wide receiver Jalen Brown, who fought off some tight coverage from the defensive backs to make some downfield grabs. Overall, Uiagalelei was smart with the football, not forcing some throws and keeping the ball in play.

Both Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek had some flashy moments, with one deep throw from Kroemenhoek to Micahi Danzy arguably the highlight of the day. The two freshmen connected with Kroemenhoek delivering the ball right into Danzy’s hands while he was smothered in coverage by a defensive back.

Glenn, like Uiagalelei, was steady. He had some nice moments in team…
