NORMAN — OU football wide receiver Jalil Farooq broke his foot Friday vs. Temple and will undergo surgery and miss six to eight weeks, head coach Brent Venables said postgame.
Farooq limped off the sideline into the locker room during the first quarter. Farooq caught a 47-yard pass from Jackson Arnold in the first quarter.
Farooq was the second Sooners player to exit the game and head to the locker room, joining center Branson Hickman.
OU defeated Temple 51-3 and will host another AAC opponent next Saturday in Houston.
