Penn State football team’s report card vs. West Virginia

Quarterbacks

A:. Drew Allar and Beau Pribula looked very comfortable in new coordinator Andy Kotelnicki’s offense.

Running backs

A: Nick Singleton rushed for 114 yards, including his first two 40-yard gains since his spectacular freshman season in 2022.

Receivers

A: Harrison Wallace III enjoyed the finest game of his career and Omari Evans made a contested 55-yard catch.

Offensive linemen

A: They helped the Lions gain 457 total yards, including 222 rushing yards, and did not allow a sack.

Defensive linemen

A: The group was a primary reason why Penn State limited West Virginia to 85 rushing yards on 37 carries (2.3 average).

Linebackers

A: Tony Rojas played a strong game in his first start and so did Kobe King and Dominic DeLuca.

Defensive backs

A: Safeties KJ Winston and Jaylen Reed were the best defensive players on the field, and cornerbacks A.J. Harris and Jalen Kimber didn’t shy from contact.

Special teams

B: Steady performance by punter Riley Thompson but Sander Sahaydak missed a long field goal.

Coaches

A: Handled the 139-minute weather delay very well as Penn State opened the second half with a touchdown drive.
