LSU and USC will face off on Sunday inside Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT. Both teams will be breaking in new starting quarterbacks from last season after the Trojans’ Caleb Williams and Tigers’ Jayden Daniels went with the first two picks of the 2024 NFL draft, respectively.
Garrett Nussmeier takes the reins at QB for Brian Kelly and the Tigers, while Miller Moss gets the start for Lincoln Riley and No. 23 USC.
The top-25 showdown could have major ramifications at the end of the season with the newly expanded 12-team College Football Playoff. The Tigers are coming off a 10-3 season and are 20-7 in two seasons under Kelly. Meanwhile, USC is coming off a disappointing 8-5 season and is 19-8 in two years under Riley.
Sunday’s matchup between the Tigers and Trojans is the third all-time matchup between the two stories programs and the first one since 1984, when LSU emerged victorious in Los Angeles.
