Tennessee projected to make College Football Playoff after Week 1

The 2024 college football season features an expanded playoff format of 12 teams for the first time.

The four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded 1-4 and will earn a first-round BYE in the new format. Seeds 5-12 will play in the first-round with higher-seeded teams hosting first-round games.

Following Week 1 of the 2024 college football season, ESPN FPI released updated percentage chances to make the College Football Playoff.

1. Georgia (86.5)

2. Alabama (77.6)

3. Texas (77.4)

4. Notre Dame (77.1)

5. Penn State (70.2)

6. Ohio State (68.5)

7. Tennessee (49.9)

8. Ole Miss (44.1)

9. Miami (43.2)

10. Oregon (34.3)

11. Louisville (34.0)

12. Missouri (31.8)
