ESPN’s “College GameDay” has decided where it will be for Week 2 of the 2024 college football season. The GameDay crew, which now includes former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, attended the Texas A&M-Notre Dame game in Week 1.
In Week 2, GameDay is heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the Michigan-Texas game at noon ET on Saturday (Sept. 7). GameDay prefers the Michigan-Texas game over Iowa-Iowa State and Tennessee-NC State and multiple other intriguing Week 2 games.
However, the Michigan-Texas game is clearly the premier game of Week 2. The Michigan Wolverines have a lengthy home winning streak and will face a significant challenge from quarterback Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns.
The last Georgia football game that GameDay attended was the 2023 SEC championship game. Georgia fans could have to go on the road if they want to see GameDay for a Georgia game this season. The Bulldogs’ three best games (at Ole Miss, at Alabama and at Texas) this season are on the road. Georgia does host Tennessee on Nov. 16 in the Bulldogs’ most important home game of the season, which could draw interest from college football’s top pregame show.
