An old-school Big Eight rivalry will continue on Saturday when the Nebraska Cornhuskers host the Colorado Buffaloes. This game will be the 73rd meeting between the two teams, and Colorado will enter Memorial Stadium on a three-game winning streak in the rivalry.

The Huskers enter Saturday’s game with a 1-0 record after defeating UTEP in the season opener. Colorado won in their first game of the season with a victory over North Dakota State.

Last season, the Huskers struggled in a 36-14 loss to the Buffaloes. Nebraska leads the series all-time with a record of 49-21-2.

The Cornhuskers also hold the series record for the longest win streak, with 18 straight wins from 1968 to 1985. They also have the largest victory, at 59-0 in 1981.

Nebraska and Colorado will meet again on September 7 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on NBC.
